Dear Students,

We hope you had a good experience getting introduced to programming tools and Python earlier today.

If you have not already done it, please follow the instructions provided in the first exercise (https://moodle.epfl.ch/pluginfile.php/3367161/mod_resource/content/3/ICC-P-Exercise-Python-Setup.pdf) to set up the EPFL virtual machine for your programming environment. To connect to the EPFL virtual machines from your personal computers, see the instructions in the following document: https://moodle.epfl.ch/pluginfile.php/2802094/mod_resource/content/0/ConnexionVDI.pdf (on Moodle).

Please complete the above by next Friday, and feel free to ask for support if you are unable to run sample Python programs in the EPFL virtual machine.

Setting up the programming environment on your personal machine remains an option, but you may encounter various issues (depending on your computer, operating system, previous installations of Python, etc.). That is why we want everyone to have their EPFL virtual machine environment configured and ready by next Friday.

Thank you,
Ali
