Dear INLP students,

this is just a reminder: I'll also do "flipped classroom" teaching, which means that, if you really want to benefit from what I'll be doing in class, you should have watched the lecture video ("04 - Words, tokens, n-grams and Language models") BEFORE coming to the class. I'll explain you in more details the way I will proceed, but this is the least I expect from you prior to the class.

Notice also that I propose not to publish the review slides before the class (dead-link for now), so as to improve your participation and keep a few "surprise effects", which are better for memorizing; but I'll publish solutions slides (of the review) as soon as the review course is over.
But, of course, I'm open to discuss this way of proceeding with the students that do come, if they find it inappropriate.

See you on Wednesday!

The link (https://coling.epfl.ch/slides/reviews-sol-W04.pdf) is now alive (with solutions).
And for those of your who prefer the notes I made in class (**NOT** recommend for the ones who did not attend) et here the version made in class.

Hello again!

I'll continue providing here the annotated versions done in class.
Reminder:
- "pure" (no handwriting) official solution is on the website (direct link for this week: https://coling.epfl.ch/slides/reviews-sol-W05.pdf);
- the annotated ones provided here are really NOT recommended for those who did not attend.
