Hello,

Is it possible to redefine variables in the exam ? suppose we have |011>, is it possible to just redefine that state into |3>, or |H> into |0> ? (of course the states will be redefined explicitly in the answer sheet)

Best.

Strange question: you can write what you want on the exam sheets. If you change notations you must give explanations meaningful and correct and also readable. Its at your own risk. But if things are correct they are correct and you get all points.

Thank you very much for your answer. After completing the quantum computation course I find it easier to use qubits notation for states. for example (0,1,0)^T, I would write it as |2> instead of |010>.
