Hi!

When training on the copy of this quizz, in the "fill the blanks" question of this section, I noticed that the accepted answer implies that knn is a parametric algorithm. This surprised me since the course and other sources mention the contrary. Am i missing some lexical trick such as an equivalence between algorithm parameters and model hyperparameters or is that a mistake?

Indeed, the correct answer would be **non-parametric**. We manually graded this question. In order to not affect quiz grades, we cannot change the correct answer on the Moodle quiz at the moment.

This was a glitch with the way Moodle stores/encodes the answers: not the actual text but the index. Thus changing the order once the quiz was proposed changed the displayed text, but not the actual index :-(

In the actual quizz we manually fixed the points and added an comment : "KNN is indeed non-parametric (glitch in question encoding)". We will *not* do it for the copy quizzes ;-)
