This is a reminder that the first quiz will be held this Friday, October 13. The quiz will open at 11:18 AM and close at 11:25 AM. You will have 6 minutes to answer the questions. The quiz automatically submits your answers at 11:25 AM. You'll find the quiz titled as "Quiz #1" at the bottom of the course page and it can be taken from anywhere. Please ensure you have an electronic device, preferably a laptop. The quiz will cover all material from weeks 1 and 2.
For those who have prior special arrangements, your quiz will also start at the same time, but it will end two minutes later at 11:27 AM. Instead of 6 minutes, you will have 8 minutes to answer the questions. You should see "Quiz #1 Extended Time" instead of "Quiz #1". If you're in this group but do not see "Quiz #1 Extended Time", please contact us immediately at cs234@groupes.epfl.ch.
We kindly ask that all students maintain silence until 11:27 AM. Following the quiz, the lecture will promptly start at this time.The scoring for the quiz is as follows: Each question carries 1 point. A correct answer grants full credit, while an incorrect answer deducts 0.25 points. If you choose "Abstain", no points are gained or lost. It is important to consider your options wisely for any question where the answer is not apparent to you.
