Dear Students,
this is just a quick heads up that Homework 1 is due by tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10am on Moodle. And good news: Since this is the first Homework, we will actually allow uploads until the end of Thursday, to make sure you all manage to submit the homework. (Feel free to ask us for help on Wednesday in the exercise session if you don't manage to upload.)
Homework 2 is now posted on Moodle. You can take a glance at it. We will solve Problem 1 together tomorrow in the last half hour of the lecture time, 14:30-15:00.
Also, a slightly updated set of lecture notes is now posted on our Moodle page: It includes a precise statement of the Jensen inequality (since I realized that several of you did not know this inequality yet). We will discuss this briefly as part of tomorrow's lecture.
