The ability to communicate a message clearly and deliver a professional presentation is indispensable—whoever you are and wherever you may be in the world. But if you want to inspire people to think, feel or act differently, you need to understand what effective communication involves—and then practise, reflect and practise again.
Through a practical, learning-by-doing approach, this course will help you develop the skills needed to deliver effective presentations in English across a range of professional contexts and for different audiences. You will learn how to:

You will be video-recorded several times during the semester and will receive constructive feedback from both the instructor and your colleagues. You will deliver individual and group presentations, giving you repeated opportunities to apply feedback and strengthen your skills. The course will also explore cultural differences in communication styles and practical strategies for communicating with diverse international audiences.
