Teaching Toolkit for STEM Doctoral Assistants and Post/Docs This online module serves to introduce the three key micro-skills and supporting evidence for making your teaching more effective and rewarding, and manage classroom interaction with students in ways that maximize learning.
- “Teach without telling” by asking the right questions
- Help students learn to recognize and solve their own problems
- Give appropriate feedback to students

The workshop then follows up with “hands-on” activities based on science content which allow you to practice and get feedback on teaching skills rather than just hearing about them. It is appropriate for those new to teaching and those who have some teaching experience but would like to sharpen their classroom skills.
