Course Content & Objectives
This course equips students with decision-aid methodologies for transportation and distribution network design, emphasizing mathematical modeling, optimization, and urban logistics applications. Through progressive learning of facility location (FLP), vehicle routing (VRP), multi-tier networks, capacity planning, uncertainty modeling, and resilience analysis, students master Gurobi/Python optimization tools. Hands-on case studies and an industry-collaborative semester project with OVO enable participants to transform complex logistics challenges into actionable, robust strategic recommendations for 2030 network designs.edu.epfl+1
