This course provides a broad overview of information security and privacy topics, with the primary goal of giving students the knowledge and tools they need “in the field” in order to deal with the security/privacy challenges they are likely to be encountered in today's “Big Data” world. The course is targeted towards Masters and 1st-year PhD students; it will be a required course for Data Science students once the Data Science Masters begins but is optional for other students.
Pattern classification occupies a central role in machine learning from data. In this course, basic principles and methods underlying machine learning will be introduced. The student will learn few basic methods and their relations to each other.
